1. Can I book with friends?
Yes, add their names into the preferences box when booking so we can match you up with your friends.
2. What if I need to book for longer than 44 weeks?
No problem, we can offer summer lets at a reduced rate, just let us know the dates you need.
3. Which Universities do you accommodate for?
We have students from University’s of Dundee, Abertay, and St Andrews, plus Dundee College. Any full time student is welcome.
4. Do I need a TV licence?
No, we've purchased a licence for each bedroom and communal area.
5. What if something in my flat breaks or isn't working?
Drop us an email or pop into the office to let us know, our on-site Maintenance team will be able to deal with most things. There is an out of hours number for emergencies too which is 0116 255 0711.
6. How much is the booking fee and what happens to it?
There is a £250 booking fee. When your tenancy commences, the booking fee will convert into a refundable damage deposit. All deposits are registered with TDS which is a government accredited Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme provider. At the end of your tenancy a final inspection of your room will be carried out prior to your move out and if any deductions are required they will be discussed with you at this point. Assuming the room and its belongings are in the same condition as when you moved and you have provided your bank details within our Portal you will get your deposit back within 10 working days. If you cancel your room booking within 14 days of your Accommodation Offer then you will be entitled to a full refund. After 14 days, the booking fee is non-refundable. 7. What happens if I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking within 7 days of booking, and if you meet the criteria of the “distance selling policy”.
8. What is a guarantor? Why do I need one?
Your guarantor is anyone who is a UK resident, and not a full-time student. Your guarantor will take responsibility for any unpaid arrears during your tenancy period.
9. Is there parking on-site?
Yes, we have limited secure parking available for a small fee, please check availability and price direct to site.
10. Is there security?
We have 24 hour CCTV across the site, plus security personnel during the first month of term.
11. Can I have pets?
No pets are permitted under the term of the tenancy agreement.
12. What happens if I don’t get on with my new flatmates? Can I swap rooms?
If you are having any issues please contact the Accommodation team in the first instance, we will do all we can to help. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to move you, however we would look to resolve any issues with you all.
13. Can I move in earlier?
Yes, additional weeks can be added under a “Licence to occupy”, payment and paperwork must be received prior to any keys being issued.

Being a Fresher in any city can be a bit daunting, but don'y worry The Hub team have seen it all before and are on hand to guide you through it.
Our Accommodation team can tell you everything you need to know, from which bus to take to which area serves the best kebab at 1am. Our team are also on hand to help with the more basic questions such as how the oven works (or how to make a Pot Noodle!).
