1. Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes, please contact the accommodation team directly on 0844 371 5635 or gallery@ to arrange this. crm-students.com
2. Can I move in early?
Yes, but it is subject to availability. If the room you have booked is unoccupied at the date you wish to move in, an early check in will be possible. Please be aware that all early move-ins will be charged at your agreed weekly rate.
3. Can I move out early?
Yes, but you will still have to pay rent for the full length of your agreed tenancy, even if you no longer live at Gallery Apartments.
4. Do I have to pay Council Tax?
Students do not have to pay Council Tax. It is your responsibility to inform the council that your are a student and apply for exemption, as this does not automatically happen. The accommodation team is happy to help you in this procedure.
5. Can I live with my partner?
Yes, you can share a studio with a partner but you have to book together via the accommodation team. A double occupancy fee of £100 will be incurred for additional facility usage within the building, charge will be applied mid contract. Please contact the site for further information.
6. Do I need a UK based guarantor?
You only need to provide a UK-based guarantor if you wish to pay your rent in more than 2 instalments. You do not need to provide a guarantor if you’re paying bi-annually or the full annual rent in advance. Your guarantor must be based in the UK permanently and have a National Insurance Number.
7. Are bills included?
Yes, utility bills and internet are included with a fair usage policy.
8. How much is the deposit and what happens to it?
There is a £250 deposit. All deposits are registered with My Deposit Scotland which is a government accredited Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme provider. At the end of your tenancy a final inspection of your room will be carried out prior to your move out and if any deductions are required they will be discussed with you at this point. Assuming the room and its belongings are in the same condition as when you moved in and you have provided your bank details within our Portal, you will get your deposit back within 30 days.
CRM have arranged some contents insurance for you with Endsleigh, the No.1 student insurance provider. This cover does not protect laptops and phones or other items when you are outside your room. It is important for you to check this cover, so please follow the steps below to ensure you fully understand the protection provided.

It is important to find out exactly what you are covered for, as you may find that the contents cover is not sufficient and you need to extend it to protect all of your possessions both inside and outside of your room.
