About Manchester

Students couldn’t find a more electric city to study in. Manchester is a thriving and prosperous city and is also probably the most fashionable student location in Britain.

The success of the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the worldwide fascination with Manchester United, and of course, Manchester City, enhance its reputation for glitz and glamour.

Home to two large universities – the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan – the city is alive with the buzz of students and that's reflected in the quality of CRM's accommodation.

There are few cities in the UK to rival Manchester's student scene. Stay at a CRM property and enjoy everything this city has to offer.

Accommodation is just part of what makes your student experience, particularly in a city as exciting as Manchester. You need to know bars, shops, restaurants and universities are on your doorstep and with either of the two private halls, you know that's the case.

Click on either of the two locations below and find out more.

Making your money go further is part of being a student and in Manchester it's easier to do than in most other cities.

Great vintage stores sell branded goods from the 60's until the modern day, while Afflecks Palace is the home of indie and all that is cool, well worth a visit.

But it's not just the shopping, eating and drinking in Manchester can also be done well on a budget. The city boasts one of the largest Chinatowns and great bargains can be had in some of this area's supermarkets. And cheap drinks can be had in some of the student bars in Fallowfield where each one will offer a student night and cheap deals; just remember which one is on which night.
