- Can I live with my friends?
Yes, you can share a flat, and you need to let us know who you’re planning to live with. Provided we have the availability at the time of your booking, there shouldn’t be a problem. If you're looking to share a studio with a friend or partner you will have to book together. Please contact the site accommodation team for any further information on dual occupancy studio apartments.
- Do I need a UK based Guarantor?
If you are an Oxford Brookes Student, then you do not need a guarantor. However, if you are a student of any other college/university then you will need a UK based guarantor, unless you choose to pay all of your rent up front (in which case, you do not need a guarantor). If you do not need a guarantor, then when booking a room- in the ‘guarantor’ section please just put your next of kin details (emergency contact information), into this section.
- Are bills included?
Yes utility bills are included, but there is a fair usage policy in place, as we are always looking to reduce our carbon footprint. High Speed internet is at an extra cost of £160 per year.
- How do I find out who my flat mates will be?
Please join our Facebook group (link below), and start talking to your flat mates before you move in. You can even arrange things like who’s going to buy what before you arrive! www.facebook.com/SladeParkOxford
- I need to extend my contract into the summer, can I do that?
Yes, provided that we have the rooms vacant at the time, then yes you can stay into the summer period. But please note that this only applies to people on a 42 week contract and we cannot guarantee the same room for the extended period.
- What size are the rooms?
Including the bathroom, an en suite room is 13 sq metres. A Studio Apartment is 26 sq metres.
- How do I get my free bus pass?
Please find the link below to apply for your BROOKESkey bus pass, please ensure you do this as soon as possible to avoid not being able to get a pass. The last date for students to apply for BROOKESKeys and be guaranteed their permanent pass to be at halls by the 5th of October is 28th of September.

Please ensure that you mark ‘'Slade Park’’ when you mark the Halls of Residence on the application. The Oxford Bus Company will post your pass out directly to the halls of residence that you mark, so make sure it is the right one!
The photo you need to upload has to be similar to a passport size photo and 100kb or less.
If you are moving in from the 3rd of September you will require a temporary bus pass, these run from the 3rd September-5th October, you will be able to obtain these from Slade Park reception.
