Got a question? Hopefully we can answer it here. If you still need help, please get in touch with a member of the team at the property you’re interested in.
Yes, you need to let us know who you’re planning to live with. Provided we have the availability at the time of your booking, there shouldn’t be a problem.
You only need to provide a UK-based guarantor if you wish to pay your rent in three instalments. You do not need to provide a guarantor if you’re paying the full annual rent in advance.
Once you receive an offer of accommodation you will need to accept the offer by signing in to your account, confirming your payment method for your rent installment and any other charges.
You must then download, sign and return two copies of your tenancy agreement to the accommodation team (One to be completed by you and one by your guarantor.). You will also have to provide some proof of identity.
If you don't return these within the time-frame given and provide payment for the initial monies due by direct debit or credit/debit (as well as your signed direct debit form), we can't guarantee your accommodation.
Yes, but this would be subject to availability and may require your contract date and length being amended prior to you taking up tenancy. Contact your accommodation manager.
You will still be liable for the rent due under the contract unless you or we can find another student to take it over. We can only try to find a replacement once all of our other rooms are full. If you find a replacement, we'll simply charge you a £50 administration fee and rent up to the time the new tenant contract starts.
Not usually. Your rent includes an energy allowance of £250 for the year which should more than cover your needs. If your usage goes beyond this you'll be charged, so make sure you avoid leaving lights or heaters on, and try not to waste hot water (you’ll keep your carbon footprint down too).
You need to pay a booking fee to cover your reservation. It’s non-refundable, unless we’re unable to offer you accommodation, in which case we refund it to you.
No, a £160 charge is required to cover internet usage at Slade Park and is payable at the start of your tenancy. This is for a high speed internet connection.
Yes. All of our developments have a Welcome Guide which pretty much covers everything you need to know about your accommodation as well as useful tips and points of contact. You can find a copy to the right of this page.
Yes. It needs to be returned to your accommodation manager within 7 days of inspection (as stated in your tenancy agreement). The inventory also tells us where to send your deposit at the end of your tenancy, so it's in your interest to return it.
