Steeped in history York has more attractions per square mile than any other city of its size. This beautiful city is home to two leading universities for both UK and international students; the University of York and York St John University. In addition, it’s considered one of the safest student cities in the country.
Renowned for its quaint cobbled streets and one of the most impressive gothic cathedrals in the world, York has an enviable wealth of thing to do from shopping, to visiting museums, the dungeons, city river cruises and more. As the sun goes down York is equally as impressive with an array of bars, pubs and clubs, in fact York famously has 365 pubs, one for each day of the year!
