Our extensive experience of successfully providing quality student accommodation has now enabled us to diversify our offering, extending our existing service model to deliver market leading solutions to exciting new sectors and international markets.

CRM began life in 2003 following a management buy-out from Savills and has grown to become a leading serviced living operator, working in both the UK and the wider European market.

Focused on the assets of corporate, university and institutional investors, and with over 20 years’ experience successfully delivering client objectives, we provide management services for over 27,000 rooms. Our operations are centrally supported, locally led and completely transparent.

Support for our clients starts from the concept stage of a development project, and our unparalleled breadth of experience and focus is often called upon by private and institutional developers. The growth of CRM as a company has been achieved organically, through careful and thorough management of our clients’ assets. We’ve also been able to adapt our offering to the ever-changing needs of residents, particularly in their requirement for an outstanding experience.

CRM Joins The Dot Group

In 2024, CRM Students, and its subsidiaries in the UK and Europe, became a part of The Dot Group, operating as a white-label solution alongside Yugo, the global student branded operator. The acquisition extends Dot’s global footprint into four new European markets of Austria, Italy, Poland and Portugal, embeds continued growth in Germany and Spain, while significantly expanding its UK presence. This brings the Group’s global portfolio to 80,000 beds including secured pipeline, making it the largest student housing operator in Europe.

Bespoke Management Service

Since our creation, we’ve grown organically through the successful operational management of third-party accommodation schemes, and we pride ourselves on our ability to support clients in the development of each individual site.

Our international knowledge is locally executed, and we are trusted by clients to deliver bespoke solutions to suit their individual needs. We always ensure we provide this bespoke accommodation management service by working in partnership to provide both economic and social value to clients.

We’ve grown and developed significantly over recent years

Maintaining our bespoke management strategy and unique culture while continually investing in the improvement of our services and the purpose-built accommodation sector as a whole.

We’re now the leading student accommodation provider in the UK and are successfully operating in the European Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) market.

In early 2019, we integrated the first of our Spanish properties into our portfolio, expanding our service offering to the European market with a 302 bed asset in Madrid.

We have gone on to provide bespoke management services to clients across Spain, Portugal and Italy. Between 2019 and 2021 we successfully mobilised the Livensa Living portfolio before supporting the transition to in house management as part of the portfolio transaction.

We are currently mobilising further properties in Italy, Portugal, Poland and Austria with over 3000 beds in the pipeline to be delivered by September 2024.

What We Do

We pride ourselves on our ability to work in partnership with our clients to deliver a bespoke solution that results in maximum occupancy, income and customer satisfaction.

This sees us providing advice and consultancy services, along with design development and planning. We support and deliver mobilisations, manage schemes day-to-day through on-site teams and offer specialist, centralised support in areas such as marketing.

We work as client partners to support investments across the UK and Europe, offering a flexible end-to-end solution.

Delivering Quality

In addition, we place great emphasis on delivering safe, compliant and well managed schemes. With our experience comes an understanding of the importance of providing our residents with a reliable, consistent service which is innovative and high quality.

CRM is a Board Member of the Code of Standards for privately owned/managed student accommodation blocks in the UK. The Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) has been established with the full backing of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to ensure standards within privately run schemes are maintained at the highest level. We’re proud to be ANUK Accredited and support the on-going development of the Code of Standards. Full details of the code are available on www.anuk.org.uk

University Vice Chancellors are advised by their own body, Universities UK, to only use ANUK accredited schemes when recommending private sector accommodation.

Who We Work With

Clients

We work in partnership with our clients to deliver a bespoke property management solution from initial consultancy to day-to-day management. This partnership focus succeeds in driving maximum occupancy, maximising income and setting the foundations to encourage happy residents.

Our clients include a number of leading global funds and investment houses, as well as a number of family offices and individual owners. Given such clients, and being an integral part of their success, CRM fully understands the detail and granularity required by these types of institutions.

As such, our internal processes and procedures, as well as our reporting, can meet and exceed the exacting standards of all our clients. We’ve developed strong relationships within different cities, and due to our experience operating in the PBSA market, we’re regarded as a preferred supplier for quality accommodation in a number of locations.

Our capabilities include developing and managing a brand on behalf of a client as part of a white label service.

The YOUNIQ brand was developed for our client as the foundation to create a successful portfolio of PBSA throughout mainland Europe.

In the UK, we are proud to have developed the GradPad brand on behalf of Imperial College. We continue to manage this brand, as well as the marketing, lettings and tenancy management functions of the GradPad properties.

In 2021, we launched our own European brand, beyoo, which is being used to market and operate schemes for CRM clients who are not looking to develop their own brand and/or portfolio across Europe.

We have undertaken numerous focus groups and other research activities to test our brand with our target audience to ensure that it works not only just throughout Europe but across our range of accommodation offering, markets and price point, with a view to replicating the success of our UK brand.
