About COSMOS – Sheffield
Welcome to new student accommodation Cosmos. Located in the heart of the city close to the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University and perfect for all things student.
- Sheffield Hallam University: 12-minute walk or a 9-minute bus ride
- University of Sheffield: 17-minute walk or a 14-minute bus ride
Cosmos has a selection of rooms to match every student’s needs. For those looking to share with friends, we have a few options for you. The spacious 4 – 10-bed en-suites are perfect to create a hive where you’ll have a private bedroom and en-suite with a shared kitchen and social space. We have also created something that we think is special. If you like to mingle but sometimes want a bit of “YOU” time, the club studios are perfect for you. You’ll have your very own studio with a kitchenette and en-suite along with a shared communal space and kitchen to chill with friends.
For those looking to live independently, look no further than our studios. Each studio benefits from having a private en-suite, kitchen, study area and a small double bed. All providing the perfect environment to relax and study. All room types come with their very own smart TV.
Now you know about the rooms, what about the rest of the building? Cosmos isn’t just a place to crash; it’s a place where you can thrive. On offer are a huge array of on-site facilities to make use of in your spare time:
- Private Dining Area – Cook a meal with friends, both private dining rooms have fully equipped kitchens and plenty of seating
- Study Spaces – Bookable meeting rooms, private study spots and dedicated study rooms throughout the building
- On-site Library – The ideal place to cosy up with a good book or focus on revision
- Landscaped Courtyard – Complete with lounge chairs and garden igloos, you can enjoy the area year-round
- Karaoke Room – Grab your friends for a karaoke night in!
- Communal Lounge – Watch TV, play board games or have a coffee and catch up with your friends
- Free On-site Gym – State of the art sports centre with a basketball half-court, cardio equipment and plenty of areas for classes
- TV Lounge – Relax with your friends whilst watching a film or the latest series

Our Commitment To You
We understand there is some uncertainty around what being at university will look like for the next academic year, but we are committed to trying to adapt where we can for your safety and wellbeing. This includes regular cleaning and sanitisation of all communal spaces, social distancing as well as support from our on-site team, whether virtually or face-to-face.
